The Forth Road Bridge was closed in both directions after a lorry was blown over in high winds in the early hours of 11th January 2017.  The bridge was officially closed to HGV’s at the time the lorry attempted to cross and the vehicle was blown from the northbound carriageway onto the southbound side, damaging railings on the central reservation.  Millar Callaghan supplied a team of specialist welders to repair the damage caused to the central barrier, allowing the bridge to reopen later that evening, earlier than expected.
