In April 2016, 17 of the 30 schools identified with having structural defects were closed before the summer holidays resulting in over 7000 children being relocated to temporary classrooms or alternative schools to finish the term.
Millar Callaghan were proud to be part of the team who worked tirelessly throughout the summer holidays fabricating and installing additional strengthening steel to ensure that the schools would be repaired and safe for the children to return at the start of the new term.
