DSM Tanker Loading Gantry

Access to the top of any tankers delivering or collecting from the Dalry site was from a temporary mobile platform. As this was a regular occurrence several times each day, it was decided that a permanent loading gantry was required. Millar Callaghan were given the task of designing a new covered gantry that would provide shelter for the operator and have a built in spring loaded walkway down onto the tanker when required.

With the client’s specifications, we supplied a full set of drawings and design calculations. When these were accepted by the client our fabrication department went into production manufacturing the new access platform.

When the platform was complete it was galvanised to 140 microns and sent to site for erection.  Our team of lifting specialists and steel erectors installed and sheeted the platform in one day, working between tanker deliveries.

On completion of the works a full quality package was given to the client.
