Millar Callaghan Engineering Services Ltd welcomed employees and clients to Ayr Racecourse on Friday 19 June for a day of racing, hospitality and good company.

On the track, the Millar Callaghan Engineering Handicap Stakes, proudly sponsored by MCES, was won by The Gay Blade, trained by Iain Jardine and ridden by Andrew Mullen. Quickly away, The Gay Blade took the lead early and stayed on strongly to win by 1¾ lengths.

As the racing drew to a close, the celebrations continued into the evening as everyone got behind Scotland for their World Cup group-stage match against Morocco. With Scotland shirts, flags and plenty of tartan on display, there was a lively atmosphere and no shortage of Scottish spirit as colleagues and clients came together to cheer on the national team.

The occasion was made even more special as our Office Manager, Lisa Shanks, celebrated 20 years of service with Millar Callaghan. This milestone was certainly not going to go unnoticed and provided the perfect opportunity to recognise her long-standing contribution and dedication to the company.

The event was a fantastic opportunity to bring colleagues and clients together in a relaxed setting, enjoying a memorable day while celebrating the people and relationships that have helped shape Millar Callaghan into the company it is today.

A fantastic day was had by all!
