Renton Footbridge Refurbishment
Millar Callaghan were delighted to have been awarded the contract for the refurbishment of Renton footbridge.
This project had to be carried out with minimum disruption to the public and bridge users. After a detailed survey, fabrication drawings were presented to the client for approval.
All fabrication work was carried out at our Irvine workshop. On completion of fabrication a full trial assembly was carried out, to ensure that both sets of new access stairs could be quickly and efficiently installed on site.
Before going to site the new stairs were painted and an anti-slip surface was applied to the deck and stairs.
On site, both stairs were installed and secured to the existing bridge structure in one day.
